17th January 2012: Exclusive XC90 Preview
Join us in our Showroom for the launch of the 2012 XC90 on Thursday 19th January 2012.
During our open day from 10am to 8pm, visitors can enjoy a unique chance to browse the enhanced model with the latest refinements. Plus we will be serving gourmet finger food and offering a demonstration drive facility throughout the day.

2nd January 2012: New Year news!
2011 was another successful year for SMW Belfast. Turning 51 years with Volvo Car Corporation, SMW continued to strengthen its brand development in Northern Ireland with the increased sales of the new S60/V60/XC60 models plus the approved used 'Volvo Selekt' sales.
2012 will see the enhanced Volvo service Promise for our service customers, which enhances the customer experience offering exceptional value for money plus the high level of service expected from a premium brand.
2012 will also see the enhanced XC90 launching later this month plus the most highly anticipated V40 Premium Hatchback will arrive this summer.

17th October 2011: Be prepared this winter!
Winter tyres, which offer more grip in wet as well as snowy weather and are particularly effective during cold temperatures, should be ordered early to be fully prepared!
Below 7oc, winter tyres offer more grip and shorten braking distances by up to 10% on wet, and up to 20% on icy roads. During the months between October and April, the average temperature is usually 7oc and below, exactly where winter tyres can help. These tyres would also help the 48% of motorists who have an accident in the winter that is attributed to skidding.*
SMW Belfast has also launched the Volvo 2011/2012 Winter Programme to help drivers face the upcoming months in complete confidence. The free-of-charge inspection incorporates a 30 point check from fluid checks to security checks on major and integral parts of the vehicle. Carried out by fully trained Volvo technicians, it will ensure the customer's car is running at its optimum level.
Drivers have the option of ordering alloy wheel and premium tyre packages, a set of four premium tyres or individual premium tyres. Volvo offer 16", 17" or 18" tyres and packages, dependant on model and existing wheels fitted to the vehicle. Available from £495 (plus £85 fitting) for four tyres and £1100 (plus fitting) for alloy wheels and tyre packages, it offers customers excellent value and peace of mind. For those customers short on space or not wanting to store their own additional tyres, Volvo Retailers will store the customer's other set of alloys/tyres for an additional £85 every six months.

SMW Belfast were proud sponsors of the IN! magazine Annual Glamour Awards, held on the 8th October 2011 in the luxurious 5-star Merchant Hotel, Belfast.
The star-studded evening included the glamorous VIP invited guests arriving in a fleet of XC60 R-Design models. Hotel concierge & local press photographers greeted the stars on the white carpet, where alongside were parked two striking Volvo V60 Sportswagens, finished in Ice-White R-Design specification. The event highlighted some of the most successful and glamorous personalities in Northern Ireland and it was a unique opportunity for Volvo Cars to play a starring role.
SMW Belfast also sponsored the Male Personality of the Year Award and the winner on the night was the ever-impressive BBC Apprentice star, Jim Eastwood. Jim was joined by his beautiful wife Paula and the pair, along with the other guests, enjoyed top-class fine dining and entertainment from the classical Sopranos, signing sensation Brian Kennedy and DJ Steve Simpson.
