Founded in the 1920's

Cecil & Larter was founded in the 1920's and has always been in private ownership. The business was very successful in the early decades but when Volvo awarded the company the franchise for the Bury St. Edmunds area in 1970 a whole new era of support and service developed.

Cecil & Larter has gone from strength to strength with Volvo in Bury St Edmunds central to the company's continued growth. The Volvo business has been relocated twice in the 30 years since the franchise was gained. First, from the business's original premises to Horringer and, more recently, to the outstanding custom built facility on Mildenhall Road.

The present site boasts a seven car showroom and a ten bay workshop. There are also two MOT bays and more than sixty used cars for sale.

Retail Sales

Our retail Sales team; Tom Crawford and Bruce Whiting have over 30 years experience of the Volvo Brand. Shaun and Laura in our corporate sales team share over 25 years experience with Volvo in the specialist world of corporate car sales.

After Sales

After sales service has over 100 years combined Volvo experience. Mark Williams is our service manager.Our service advisors Adam Horrex and Andrew Hamp are here to greet you. And to support them is a team of trained technicians. Darren Leader & Tim Traher, our master technicians are master problem solvers, there to help if ever something out of the ordinary creates a problem.
